On the modern “factory farm”, where the word “farm” is used very loosely, cows are effectively "milk and beef production machines" that exist to turn corn and grain, which is their main source of food, into milk and meat as quickly as possible.
So you may be wondering why cows are fed grains, rather than grass, since their natural food is grass. I will discuss extensively in the submenus which include Butter, Cheese, Ghee and Raw Organic Milk.
I will tell you that since the natural food of cows is grass, the resultant situation is a biological absurdity. Let me give you an analogy; this would be like keeping tigers alive on chocolate chip cookies. In addition, with intensive production schedules, it is common for modern dairy cows to produce many times the number of pounds of milk that they would normally produce in nature. Growth hormones and unnatural milking schedules cause dairy cows’ udders to become painful, heavy, and infected. To produce this amount of milk, factory-farmed cows are routinely given large doses of antibiotics, the residue of which, along with that of the steroids and growth hormones they are given, invariably wind up in the milk and meat they produce.
So if hormones, steroids, and antibiotics weren’t enough, the milk is then pasteurized and homogenized. Both processes destroy vitally important health-giving compounds in the milk. Pasteurizing milk destroys enzymes, diminishes vitamins, denatures fragile milk protein, destroys vitamins B-12 and B-6, kills beneficial bacteria, and promotes pathogens.
